Bogan Sankar (born May 19, 1972) is a distinguished Tamil poet and writer, celebrated for his introspective and nuanced literary works. Hailing from Tirunelveli, India, he pursued his education at St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School and St. Xavier’s College in Palayamkottai. Currently, he resides in Nagercoil, where he serves as a medical coordinator in the healthcare sector.
Sankar’s literary journey commenced with his debut poem, “Erivadhum Anaivadhum Ondre,” marking the beginning of a prolific career in Tamil literature. His oeuvre encompasses both poetry and short stories, characterized by their brevity, depth, and subtle humor. His poetry collections include “Erivadhum Anaivadhum Ondre,” “Thaditha Kannaadi Potta Poonai,” “Nedunchaalaiyai Maeyum Pul,” “Siriya Engal Urangum Arai,” “Verrunkaal Paadhai,” and “Thiribukaala Gnaani.” In the realm of short stories, notable works such as “Krishnanin Aayiram Naamangal,” “Boga Puthagam,” “Digiri,” and “Marma Kaarayam” have garnered critical acclaim.
