This book by David Epstein is an insightful exploration into why generalists triumph in a specialised world. Epstein argues that those who engage in diverse experiences and skills—often deemed “jack-of-all-trades”—are better equipped to excel in complex and unpredictable environments. Through compelling stories and scientific research, the book demonstrates how breadth of knowledge fosters creativity, problem-solving, and adaptability. “Range” challenges the conventional wisdom that early specialisation is the key to success, advocating instead for the power of varied experiences in achieving long-term excellence and innovation

Different perspective on specialisation. One can master the subject by dwelling more on the subject is good, but to be an expert varied subject knowledge helps to think and do differently. This is the need of the hour. You need to adapt as situation warrants. Thanks
